Work was inspired by a field trip to the 2017 Venice Biennale during my encounter with Anne Imhof's Faust. My interest was in juxtaposing the child spectator's interest and emotional engagement with the actors alongside the apparent distance of the adults witnessing the performance unfold.

Work inspired by the 2017 same sex marriage debate. Aware of the anguish caused by attack on so many in the LGBTIQ community and the impact of the media debate on me personally and many of my friends and colleagues . So many mixed emotions and deep sadness to hear of the loss of young lives associated with discrimination, anger at the ignorance and relief when the bill was finally passed!
